Thank you so much. I mean it. The last three days of the campaign felt like digging up a femur only to realize it was the bone of your favorite dead uncle. Or, to put it differently: it was the cherry on top of an already abundantly delicious ice cream. So thank you to all who backed, shared, commented, laughed, cried, or pressed the button because you wanted to be number 666. Thank you, all of you. With the strong end I have a few ideas on how to add a little extra – but that's a surprise for later.

In true cliché fashion, now the real work begins. I guess it’s a cliché because it contains a grain of truth. Nevertheless, I look forward to making this the very best it can be and delivering on the massive amount of hype that this campaign has garnered. I hope to involve as many of you as possible once the time comes – so if you want to be part of the journey, feel free to join my Discord. 

Lastly, to the backers who’ve purchased Trapped Within – I have contacted you through messages on Kickstarter, so please fill out your address as soon as possible. Only 4 of you haven’t received a message, and that’s because your credit card has issues. Once it’s fixed, write me a message, and I’ll send you the form.

500 of you have decided to support my work – and snatch yourself a book, who would've believed that so many would get behind this project? Not me. Not my mother. Not even Bert.

It's incredibly amazing and makes this whole project (but also the bookmark) more than a fever dream. It's a reality and one day in the not-so-distant future I will stand with a fistful of books and yell from the top of a mountain: "MUHAHAHA"

Ehm. Anyway. Thank you to all who've backed this project. It means more than you can imagine.

There aren't many days left, so there will be one last stretch goal. At 600 backers I will include a sticker for every physical pledge, maybe they will look something like the two mockups below. With the last few days nearing, consider sending the Kickstarter to a half-way decent friend.

Part of the success of this campaign has been due to all of you lovely backers helping me spread the word. I've been fortunate that some people have included me in their newsletter – firstly The Soloist and yesterday Castle Grief did a cool interview with me. If you didn't know Castle Grief has a Kickstarter running where I'm a backer. So consider checking out their distinct and lovely old-school style!

I'm beyond amazed and thankful for how well this campaign is going. Thank you to every single one of you. With over 250 physical backers we have now secured the funding to get this book glued to the back instead of the spine. It will not only look and feel awesome but also make using this as a game book easier, as the book stays open. Swiss-binding it is!

Speaking of spines – if we reach 425 backers I will include a bookmark for every backer of this spineful skeleton snake. It will have a section for rules or an oracle on the backside, I haven't decided on that yet. The bookmark will also be included for digital backers, though as a digital file (but you knew that.)

So if you want to help this project even further – and secure a cool bookmark – send this to someone you know!

Evil is consuming my mind. The thoughts feel new, foreign yet comfortably soothing. I think I am beginning to appreciate this new sense of morality, and so, it seems, do you. 

At around 200 physical backers we’ve smashed through the next stretch goal! Now, I will have to find a place to put foil inside this beauty of a book – that’s freaking exciting. Let’s see if I can make do with only one place, probably not. What’s your favorite foil? Silver, gold, or holographic?

Thank you to all 267 of you for backing, trusting, and encouraging this project. It’s not only a reality – it’s on track to become more successful than Trapped Within. Something which I didn’t think would be possible with a solo game. So thank you all, it means so incredibly much to me. 

If you want to help this project reach the next stretch goal share it with a nerdy friend who might be interested. Even just sharing it, in a private message, with 1 friend helps enormously!

Drenched in red

Well, well, well. Risen from the dead with a red brush in their hand, it's the army of book-binding painters, and with over 100 physical books backed they will have to get to work soon. 

Or to put it in plain English: "You guys are awesome and we have SMASHED through the first stretch goal. The book block will be drenched in red paint, making the edges scream for attention."

And with 135 physical books backed, we're nearing in on the foil. Only 15 more physical backers and I'll find some strategic places throughout the book to overlay with that beautiful expensive faux shiny stuff. (Correction: There are 45 physical backers left before the next stretch goal.)

Speaking of stretch goals:
The weirder stretch goal is going slow, but 3 jokes have reached me so far, thank you. If nothing else those three people will get a print of the postcard as a thank you for indulging in this horrible pun-feast. But if you all want the print send me your worst NECROMANCER jokes @philthemaker over on Twitter.
